EEE Activities & Special Events

The EEE Special Events Committee had been virtually inactive since the start of Covid-19. In 2022 the Board asked Chair Betty Navin to plan some outdoor events so that members could again congregate in person.

Nature Walk at Red Rocks

Betty first organized a spring nature walk in Red Rocks Park where we walked to the Lookout, admired a stunning view of the lake and identified spring flowers.

Another event was a visit to Winter Lights at the Shelburne Museum in December 2022.

Fleming Museum

Betty also organized two museum tours: the first to the Fleming Museum at UVM to view the woodcuts of Rockwell Kent, after a stimulating lecture given by Alice Boone, Curator of Education and Public Programs at the museum.

Ferry to New York

In July 2022 a group of members and friends took the ferry to Essex NY where we enjoyed lunch at the Old Dock restaurant and strolled around the charming village.
